We are delighted to share that Urology Austin is building on our excellent relationship with Dr. Brian Shimkus, by advancing our partnership with Lone Star Oncology and welcoming Dr. M. Hassan Sabbagh. Specifically, we now have the pleasure of having Dr. M. Hassan Sabbagh practicing with us on Thursdays in our Urology Austin Radam Lane clinic from 9AM to 2PM.
Meet Dr. M Hassan Sabbagh
Dr. Sabbagh received his Doctor of Medicine degree from Damascus University. He then completed an internal medicine internship and residency at St. Barnabas Hospital, an affiliate of Weill Cornell Medicine, in the Bronx, New York. Upon finishing the internship and residency, he completed a hematology-oncology fellowship at UPMC Hillman Cancer Center, previously the University of Pittsburgh Cancer Institute. He is board-certified in both medical oncology and hematology. Dr. Sabbagh brings over 35 years of experience in medicine, focusing specifically on oncology since 2001.
Lone Star Oncology is a community-based medical oncology and hematology practice providing treatment for patients diagnosed with all types of cancer and blood disorders. Through compassionate care that centers around the patient, they strive to provide the best possible experience to patients and their families throughout the healthcare journey.
Soon, Urology Austin and Lone Star Oncology will be together in the Kyle office. Until their new Kyle office opens, we are utilizing space in our Radam Lane office to see patients one day a week. The goal is for this partnership to help us both provide the most comprehensive care of patients together.
We look forward to caring for Dr. Sabbagh’s patients that need radiation oncology in our own, Austin Center for Radiation Oncology. Dr. Sabbagh is excited to partner with our entire team of urologists to provide excellent oncologic care with us.
